We recently enjoyed a wonderful evening at Robinson College for the Group Formal. It was the biggest one we've had yet (we overflowed the table!). The food and the company were excellent, thanks to everyone for partaking in the group's social activities.

Laser Analytics Group members attend ICON 2018!

8 members of the Laser Analytics, Molecular Neuroscience, and Quantitative Imaging groups attended the 2nd International Conference on Nanoscopy (ICON). Florian Stroehl and Dr. Katharina Scherer presented posters of their most recent research in structured illumination microscopy and expansion microscopy (respectively), and Marcus Fantham presented a talk on his online first person volumetric data viewer.

Single molecule translation imaging

Single molecule translation imaging, SMTI, is a novel technique development by the Laser Analytics group to measure the rate and spatial distribution of protein synthesis [1,2]. Together with scientists form the Department of Physiology and Development of the University of Cambridge, we study the processes underlying neurodevelopment and the formation of neuronal networks in vivo.
